The Arizona Coyotes training camp roster was reduced on Wednesday as six players were sent to the Tucson Roadrunners and seven players were assigned back to their junior teams.

The team announced that four defenseman and two wingers would be sent down to Tucson. Jordan Gross, Jacob Graves, Jalen Smereck and Kevin Ekman-Larsson were the four blue-liners and Tyler Steenbergen and Kelly Klima were the two forwards.

They will try to help take the Roadrunners back to the playoffs for a second straight season under first-year head coach Jay Varady.

Two goalies, Ivan Prosvetov and David Tendeck were sent back to their junior teams in Saginaw and Vancouver, respectively.

Kevin Bahl, Dennis Busby and Noel Hoefenmayer were sent back to the juniors also. All three players are defenseman.

Two centerman, Liam Kirk and Nate Schnarr were both sent back to their minor league teams in the OHL.
