Trivia Tuesday: Running backs with most yards through four weeks
Oct 2, 2018, 6:00 AM
In 1984, Eric Dickerson of the Los Angeles Rams set an NFL record with 2,105 rushing yards — a mark that still stands today.
Through that season’s first four games, however, Dickerson only had 378 yards on the ground for an average of just 94.5 per game. Over his last 12 games of that season, Dickerson averaged an ungodly 143.9 yards per game to break the record.
So, getting off to a really good start isn’t necessarily imperative in putting up huge rushing numbers, but it certainly helps.
Your Trivia Tuesday challenge this week is to name the 31 greatest rushing totals through four games since 2000. We’ve given you the year, the team he did it for and a generous eight minutes on the clock — you just have to name the runner. (Last names only are acceptable!)
Good luck!
