Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker will sit for the second game in a row with a mild strain in his left hamstring.
He will not play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
On Saturday, he missed the game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Phoenix lost 117-96.
Booker expressed optimism about the injury on Friday after practice, though he did not participate that day.
“I’m feeling better,” he said at the time. “Still not all the way there yet, though, so I heard it’s day-to-day, nothing serious, so that’s good.”
While the star guard is out, head coach Igor Kokoskov is trying to center the offense around big man Deandre Ayton and get him in a playmaker role.
Ayton went 12-for-13 from the floor Saturday, leading the Suns with 24 points and eight rebounds. He also had five assists, which was tied for the most on the team.
Booker is considered day-to-day.
