Former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jamar Taylor is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.
The Broncos targeted the six-year NFL veteran following a leg injury to all-pro cornerback Chris Harris, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Taylor was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Cardinals for a 2019 sixth-round pick to play the cornerback position opposite Patrick Peterson for the 2018 season. He lasted 10 games with Arizona before being cut.
Taylor made three starts for Arizona, recording 17 tackles and one pass deflection this season. His best season was with the Browns in 2016 when he recorded three interceptions and 13 pass deflections.
He played his college football at Boise State and spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins.
The Cardinals released Taylor on Nov. 19.
