Defensive tackle Olsen Pierre joined receiver Christian Kirk and offensive lineman Mike Iupati as the trio was placed on the Arizona Cardinals’ injured reserve list Tuesday.

The team announced Pierre’s season will come to an end due to a knee injury. Head coach Steve Wilks had already announced a day earlier that Kirk (broken foot) and Iupati (knee) would miss the rest of the year.

Arizona elevated defensive end Vontarrius Dora and receiver Jalen Tolliver to fill two open roster spots. On the practice squad, the Cardinals also signed receiver Daniel Braverman, released receiver Montay Crockett and placed offensive lineman Rick Leonard (calf) on the practice squad injured reserve.

Pierre recorded 12 tackles in his third season out of Miami, playing behind tackles Corey Peters, Robert Nkemdiche and Rodney Gunter. Pierre recorded 30 tackles with 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble a year ago playing for head coach Bruce Arians and defensive coordinator James Bettcher.

Tolliver, an undrafted rookie out of Arkansas-Monticello, was active in Week 12 and spent the preseason with Arizona.

He joins a position group filling in for Kirk, the team’s leading receiver, that includes Larry Fitzgerald, Chad Williams, J.J. Nelson and Trent Sherfield.

Dora was likewise with the Cardinals this preseason and active for Arizona’s Week 11 game but did not play.
