Arizona State sophomore guard Remy Martin helped lead the Sun Devils to an 8-1 start following a win over Georgia on Saturday.
Martin had a career-high 21 points to go with five assists and three steals, helping him earn his first Pac-12 Player of the Week award.
Through seven games played this season, the California native is averaging 12.0 points, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.7 minutes played. Last season, he started in only one game and played in 32 where he averaged 9.6 points, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 23.8 minutes played.
Martin is the third Sun Devil to win the award this season behind freshman guard Luguentz Dort and redshirt senior forward Zylan Cheatham.
The Sun Devils moved up to No. 18 in the latest Associated Press college basketball top-25 poll.
Arizona State will look to go 6-1 away from Wells Fargo Arena against non-conference teams as it will face Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn., on Monday night.
