Boston Celtics fans are familiar with Kelly Oubre Jr.’s ways from his time with the Washington Wizards.
Oubre is a player who thrives through the energy he exudes with a certain amount of swagger sprinkled in.
The 23-year-old was one of the Wizards’ key rotation players two seasons ago that would wear all black to a late January game against the Celtics, which was “Round 3” of the team’s season series. That game was dubbed as the “Funeral Game” and at the time was one of the NBA’s hottest rivalries.
Those two teams met in the postseason that year, and Oubre shoved then-Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk to the ground and was suspended for one game.
That would make it no surprise, then, that Oubre heard some boos from Celtics fans when he took his first free throws as a member of the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.
As all players who love to be hated do, Oubre soaked it in on the second attempt.
He gave a shimmy, licked his lips and made the shot before blowing a kiss to the fans.

Oubre wasn’t done blowing kisses, yet.
When he hit the biggest shot of the game, he had a few more for those in attendance.

When asked by the postgame show about the kisses, Oubre promised there are more to come.
“I think I did a little extra today because they don’t really like me here,” he said. “I’ll be blowing kisses to the Suns fans and everybody too. Everybody gets some love.”
