The Arizona State men’s basketball team is no longer a top-25 ranked team in the nation following a non-conference loss to Princeton on Saturday.

ASU was riding high after its upset win over then-No. 1 ranked Kansas at Wells Fargo Arena. The win helped the Sun Devils rank up to No. 17, their highest ranking this season under fourth-year head coach Bobby Hurley.

The Sun Devils’ 67-66 loss at home is their third non-conference loss of the season. The first came to No. 6 Nevada at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Dec. 7.

ASU’s loss against Nevada was the first of three times the team has lost after ranking up in the previous week.

The Sun Devils ranked No. 18 before losing to Vanderbilt on Dec. 17 in a 81-65 blowout.

ASU broke into the Top 25 back in Week 5 at No. 20 after a 7-0 start to the season including a win over ranked Mississippi State.

The team will begin conference play on Thursday against Utah during its three-game home stand.

The Sun Devils currently ties Colorado for the best record in the Pac-12 at 9-3.
