With the Arizona Hotshots playing their first game in franchise history Sunday night, the team was bound to have a lot of firsts.
Maybe the most important first to achieve outside of a win was a touchdown, and it didn’t take the Hotshots long to find the end zone.
Quarterback John Wolford found tight end Gerald Christian for a six-yard score with 1:07 left in the first quarter, the first touchdown in franchise history.

The score also gave the Hotshots their first lead and they led their opponent, Salt Lake, 8-0 after a quarter in what became a 38-22 win over the Stallions at Sun Devil Stadium.
Christian, a former Arizona Cardinals draft pick, scored the first touchdown, but he was beaten out on the touchdown celebration scale by wide receiver Rashad Ross.
Ross, an ASU product, showcased his dance moves after hauling in a 36-yard score.
