Celebrating Valentine’s Day, Arizona Sports style, with a Suns poem
Feb 14, 2019, 2:53 PM
Our Arizona sports teams know the pain of heartbreak. Rarely have they put a ring on it.
That hasn’t stopped their fans from believing that, one day, they’ll fall in love with a winner.
It’s another somber mood this Valentine’s Day as the Suns have dropped 15 straight. The Coyotes are attempting to eek out a playoff berth despite a long list of injured players, and the D-backs just traded away the first baseman who we all thought was the one, Paul Goldschmidt. Then there’s the Cardinals, who everyone is convinced has a crush on a guy named Kyler. Yeah, right.
It’s a weird time to be a sports fan in the Valley.
Bickely & Marotta producer Jarrett Carlen knows the feeling.
He captures all the emotions of love and hope and loss through the years with his Phoenix Suns Valentine’s Day poem.
It’ll make you swoon. It’ll make your heart hurt and maybe — just maybe — give you hope.
And in case you needed to send your love to your fellow Valley sports fan, the teams have all spread the love this Valentine’s Day.
