After months of evaluations and mock drafts, the countdown to the 2019 NFL Draft is down to just 17 days.

For former ASU receiver N’Keal Harry, the question of what round he will be selected in is still very much unanswered.

Arizona State football head coach Herm Edwards joined Doug & Wolf on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station to offer his opinion on whether or not Harry should be a first round pick.

“In my opinion [Harry] is,” Edwards said. “Some of the things I’m hearing [have Harry] anywhere from the bottom of the first [round] or the top of the second [round].

“This draft thing is really funny, it’s all according to what the [draft] board looks like.”

Edwards also discussed some of the questions he has been asked from NFL scouts about Harry and his love for the game of football.

“When you walk on the field and you go to practice, it’s not even close, this guy practices the game of football,” Edwards said. “His preparation is 100 percent. He’s the most competitive guy on the field.”

Finally, Edwards talked about how hard it is to avoid comparing Harry to any current receiver in the NFL. In his eyes, Harry reminds him of a certain former Dallas Cowboy.

“I’ll tell you who he reminds me of, he’s Dez Bryant,” Edwards said. “He has the same body type and they’re about the same size.”

To paint a picture of the size comparison, Bryant is listed at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, while Harry comes in at 6-foot-4 and 213 pounds.

At the combine, Harry ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds and tied for the most bench press reps among all wide receivers with 27. Harry also recorded a vertical jump of 38.5 inches.

In his three seasons at ASU, Harry racked up 215 receptions, 2,889 receiving yards and 25 total touchdowns. Harry’s 22 receiving touchdowns is good for fifth all-time in program history.
