Josh Rosen wins MVP at Larry Fitzgerald’s softball classic

Before he dons his new Miami Dolphins threads, former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen still had one more jersey to wear in Arizona.

A Larry Fitzgerald Celebrity Softball Classic jersey.

While no longer a part of the Cardinals franchise, Rosen still made it out to his former teammate’s celebrity softball outing Saturday night.

Not only did he still make it a point to attend the classic, Rosen put in work, winning the game’s MVP.

Oh yeah, he was raking too, taking home the home run derby title.

“It was a lot of fun,” Rosen told ESPN’s Josina Anderson after the game. “Just a lot of good people having a good time, I got to say a bit of a goodbye to the Arizona fans here. So it was really fun.”

The fans showed their support for the QB as well, giving Rosen a standing ovation as his name was announced.

Rosen addressed the fans near home plate.

“I just wanted to thank Arizona fans for everything,” Rosen said when asked about his speech to the crowd. “But for the most part, it’s a really awesome night, Larry puts on a really good event.

“Larry’s a legend for a reason.”

Prior to the softball game, Rosen posted a video thanking fans for their support after being traded to the Dolphins in exchange for a second round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and a 2020 fifth rounder.

“Cardinals fans, thank you so much for all of the continued support this year,” Rosen said with a backdrop of the Valley in view.

“I know we didn’t win as many games as we would have all hoped, but I had an unbelievable time here. Unfortunately my time here is coming to an end, but you guys are really getting a hell of a player in Kyler Murray, and he’s going to do great things for the Red Sea.”
