Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker earned a single Third Team All-NBA vote, the NBA revealed Thursday when it announced its All-NBA squads for the 2018-19 season.

The 22-year-old who averaged 26.5 points, 6.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7% overall and 32.6% from three-point range remains without an All-Star bid or All-NBA mention through four NBA seasons.

Had it not been for the Suns winning 19 games last season, it could be argued that Booker is deserving of either.

He’s at least knocking on the door for one or both of those honors. Of the seasons where a player has averaged more than 25 points, four rebounds and six assists per game, only twice out of 70 times has a player not made the All-Star game. Booker counts for one.

Missing an All-NBA and an All-Star selection in the final year of his rookie deal means Booker missed the ability to earn an even more significant raise after he signed a max contract extension last summer. Booker would have made $189 million (first team), $180.2 million (second team) or $173.8 million (third team) had he made an All-NBA team, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

The five-year extension is now projected to pay out $158 million starting at a projected $27.2 million next season.
