Arizona a finalist to host 2015 Super Bowl

While the Arizona Cardinals are prepping for the NFL Draft and working towards making it back to the Super Bowl, the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee has been told by the NFL a Super Bowl may be returning soon.

The committee was made aware of being a finalist on Thursday.

The choice for the 2015 Super Bowl has been narrowed down to Tampa Bay, Florida along with Arizona.

“We are delighted to receive the terrific news that Arizona is one of two finalists for the 2015 Super Bowl. As I have always said, we are in the Super Bowl business and believe we have the best facilities and most hospitable venue in the country,” said Mike Kennedy, Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee Chairman, in a press release on Thursday.

The final bids will be submitted by August 1 with the league making a final decision in October 2011.

“We are excited to get this opportunity from the NFL and look forward to showing them once again Arizona is Super Ready to host this premiere international event in 2015,” said Kennedy.
