Cardinals’ Budda Baker, Damiere Byrd to race in fastest man tournament

An event called 40 Yards of Gold will take some of the fastest players in the NFL and have them race in a tournament-style competition to determine who is the fastest.

Twenty-six players total, 13 on offense and 13 on defense, will compete for the title, which will be determined by racing in the 40-yard dash.

Twenty-four players have been announced as participants including Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker and wide receiver Damiere Byrd.

Baker ran 4.45 40-yard dash during his appearance at the 2017 NFL Combine. Byrd did not participate in the NFL Combine but ran a 4.28 at his pro day for South Carolina in 2015.
