Phoenix Suns acquire Reggie Bullock from Los Angeles Clippers

The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers needed a third team in order to complete a deal that will bring Austin Rivers to L.A. from Boston, the Phoenix Suns were glad to be it.

Their part of the deal will see Phoenix send forward Shavlik Randolph to the Celtics while acquiring guard Reggie Bullock from the Clippers.

The Celtics are also receiving Chris Douglas-Roberts and a future second-round pick from L.A.

Bullock, 23, was the Clippers’ first round pick out of North Carolina in the 2013 NBA Draft. He has appeared in 25 games this season — including two starts — and in 10.5 minutes per contest is averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds. He is shooting .426 from the floor and .385 from three-point range.

“Reggie Bullock is a talented young player we have liked for a while,” said General Manager Ryan McDonough. “He shoots the ball very well and he has the potential to be a good perimeter defender.”

The 31-year-old Randolph appeared in 16 games for Phoenix this season, and averaged 1.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per contest.
