The Phoenix Suns introduced their new general manager, Ryan McDonough at a news conference at US Airways Center Thursday.
McDonough, 33, comes to the Suns after spending a decade in the front office of the Boston Celtics.
He most recently served as the assistant general manager to Danny Ainge, who played for the Suns from 1992 to 1995 and was the team’s head coach from 1996 to 1999.
McDonough stated that his first assignment is to find the next head coach of the Phoenix Suns. The team is coming off a 25-57 season, the second-worst season in the 45-year history of the team.
