Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald to play in WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am

Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald announcing his return for a 2020 season was not the only bit of news to come out this week about the veteran pass-catcher.
The Waste Management Phoenix Open announced this week that Fitzgerald will play in the Annexus Pro-Am on Jan. 29.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith, country music artist Dierks Bentley, former Coyotes captain Shane Doan, Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley and former pro golfer Lorena Ochoa are among the others who are expected to play in the Pro-Am.
Fitzgerald has played in the Pro-Am before.
He also has been known as an avid golfer in other contexts, and has landed himself on highlight reels with his proficiency in the sport.
Fitzgerald once sank a hole-in-one while playing with President Barack Obama. He and former Arizona State golfer and current PGA Tour player Jon Rahm were once subjects on the popular Golf Channel show Feherty.
The full list of Pro-Am participants and their tee times will be revealed day-of on Jan. 29. Players will begin their rounds with tee times ranging from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The Phoenix Open’s week of festivities runs from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2. This year will by the 85th iteration of the PGA Tour event.
