The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and there has been plenty of speculation about what the Arizona Cardinals will do.
Running back, defensive line and edge rusher have all been pegged as big areas of need for general manager Steve Keim to address.
It’s been three years since a running back was drafted in the first round by any team, but this year’s crop, which includes Georgia’s Todd Gurley and Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon, is being called the best in a while.
In a recent Sanderson Ford Arizona Sports Poll Question, we asked our readers if the Cardinals should invest a first-round pick in a running back.
Sixty-three percent of the respondents weren’t against it, depending on who is still available, while 19 percent said “yes, it’s a primary position of need.”
Sixteen percent believe Arizona has bigger areas of concern while only three percent believe the position is in good hands with Andre Ellington serving as the feature back.
