ARIZONA CARDINALS

Report: Jay Feely looking to return to Cardinals

Mar 22, 2012, 4:32 PM | Updated: 5:45 pm

The Cardinals want Jay Feely back, and the kicker wants to
return to Arizona.

So, what’s the problem?

Nothing, really.

According to Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com, negotiations
between the two sides are underway.

Feely came to the Cardinals before the 2010 season, and
all the veteran has done since then is make 43 of 51 field
goal attempts (84.3 percent), as well as all 62 of his
PATs.

While not knowing for having the biggest leg, as a
Cardinal Feely has connected on 13 of 17 field goals
between 40-49 yards, and three of five from 50 yards out.

Feely did have a bit of a down year in 2011, as his made
field goal percentage of 79.2 is the fourth lowest mark in
his career.

However, the 35-year-old has generally been reliable for
the Cardinals something every team looks for at what has
become a key position.
