Osweiler lands with Broncos in Doug and Wolf’s Mock Draft

Apr 26, 2012, 12:15 AM | Updated: 1:19 am

In what may have been the shock of the first round of Doug & Wolf’s Mock
Draft
, the Denver Broncos (represented by
Rosie Hasseltine) selected Brock Osweiler in the first
round.

Osweiler spent much of the offseason rising up draft
boards,
but the Arizona State product going No. 25 overall will
still be seen as a reach by some.

The Broncos could be in need of another quarterback even
though they recently signed Peyton Manning in free agency,
as he is working his way back from a severe neck injury
and
the only other QBs on the roster are Caleb Hanie and Adam
Weber.

As for Osweiler, the young QB could not have landed in a
better situation. He will have a chance to sit and learn
the
game from one of the all-time greats in Manning, and, if
the
former MVP is unable to hold up physically, could find his
way onto the field early in his career.
