Heilman and Bloomquist set to return for D-backs

Two Arizona Diamondbacks may return to the field sooner rather than later. According to Sports 620 KTAR’s John Gambadoro both reliever Aaron Heilman and infielder Willie Bloomquist could be back with the club by this weekend.

Heilman has been out since April 14 with right shoulder tendinitis. Prior to being placed on the disabled list he struggled, posting a 12.15 ERA giving up 9 runs in 6.2 innings pitched.

Bloomquist faired much better before his stint on the disabled list with a strained hamstring. He was hitting .306 with 7 RBI and an impressive 7 stolen bases.

The team should benefit from the return of both. The bullpen can always use a late inning pick me up and Bloomquist could add some competition to an infield that has struggled to hit the ball (we're looking at you, Kelly Johnson).
