Fitzgerald tweets draft pick Williams about workouts

With the NFL lockout back in place there are no rookie mini-camps or organized team activities scheduled for the immediate future.
Since that’s the case, there’s only one way for the soon-to-be rookies to get work in with their new teammates. Go to where they are and workout with them.
It would seem that’s exactly what the Arizona Cardinals second round pick, Ryan Williams, is trying to do.
Earlier on Tuesday Williams sent a tweet to Cardinal Pro Bowler Larry Fitzgerald about trying to get to the desert.

Less than five minutes later Fitzgerald answered the young running back.

No contact with the coaches but it definitely wouldn’t hurt the rookie to start being around the guys and getting familiar with his teammates.
As long as Williams’ people can get him here soon, he’ll be getting a head start on the NFL season regardless of the lockout.
