The Dog Days of Summer?

All booing of bad jokes aside, Chase Field will host its first-ever Bark at the Park Saturday, August 13 when the D-backs host the New York Mets.

Presented by Starkweather Roofing, the cost is $20 per owner and $20 per dog. Five-dollars from each ticket will be donated to the Arizona Humane Society.

“We are very excited to host Bark in the Park for the first time at Chase Field and donate a portion of the ticket sales to the Arizona Humane Society,” said D-backs’ President & CEO Derrick Hall. “As a passionate dog owner myself, this event allows owners and their pets to spend time in an exciting environment while cheering on the team and supporting a great cause.”

The night will include, among other things, a pre-game Puppy Parade for owners as well as a Puppy Party in the Miller Lite Diamond Club during the game. Water and doggie bags will be provided, but owners are asked to bring their own dog food.

Owners must provide a copy of current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian, and the registration deadline is August 12 at 5 p.m. or until the event is at capacity or sold out.
