Diamondbacks 2012 regular season schedule announced

The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced their 2012 regular-season schedule, which opens at Chase Field against the San Francisco Giants on April 6.
The season includes three 10-game homestands and a pair of weekend visits to the Valley by the Chicago Cubs.
The Diamondbacks will also be at home on Mother’s Day and the Fourth of July, hosting the Giants and the San Diego Padres respectively.
For the sixth time in franchise history the Diamondbacks will open and close the season at home, the first time since 2004.
The Cubs will be in town June 22-24 and Sept. 28-30, beginning the last homestand of the season.
The 2012 regular season will wrap up against the Colorado Rockies on Oct. 3.
