With Collin Cowgill’s two RBI in the third inning of game four and Paul Goldschmidt’s six total, the team is one shy from breaking the record.
Goldschmidt hit a grand slam and added another RBI in game three to bring his total to six.
Diamondbacks hitters went three-up, three-down in seven innings on Thursday as they dropped the series opener to the Giants.
