Trevor Bauer
Trevor Bauer helped pitch the Aces to a 13-1 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers in Game 1 of the Pacific Coast League Championship series.
Bauer (2-0) gave a solid performance, pitching 6 2/3 innings and allowing just one run on three hits with five strikeouts and five walks.
He now has a 0.77 ERA in two playoff starts, after getting the win in Game 1 of the Pacific Conference Championship series in Sacramento.
Tyler Skaggs
Tyler Skaggs was tagged for five runs on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk over four innings of work against the Giants Friday night.
The left-hander got handed his second loss in the D-backs’ 6-2 defeat. Skaggs saw his ERA rise to 5.55 and WHIP increase to 1.36 at the major league level.
Patrick Corbin
Patrick Corbin gave a brilliant effort in the D-backs series finale against the Giants Sunday.
The left-hander pitched eight strong innings, allowing two runs on eight hits with one walk and five strikeouts to record his sixth win.
Corbin also had a great day at the plate, driving in four runs in the D-backs’ 10-2 rout.
Archie Bradley
Archie Bradley pitched six strong innings, allowing three runs — two earned — on four hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in South Bend’s 9-3 win over Lansing Thursday.
The right-hander earned his 12th win of the season and lowered his ERA to 3.84 and his WHIP to 1.26 on the year.
