Daniel Hudson pitches well in rehab start

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Daniel Hudson returned to
the pitcher’s mound Monday night for Triple-A Reno in a 10-4
win over the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Hudson threw five innings, allowing two runs on five hits
while walking one and striking out two. Hudson threw 71
pitches, 47 of them for strikes.

The 24-year-old has been on the disabled list with a right
shoulder impingement since April 21 (retroactive to April
19). He was eligible to come off of the DL May 3, and
Monday’s minor league start was a good sign that his return
to the Arizona rotation could come in the next week.
