Iowa linebacker/fullback John Kenny is transferring to Arizona

Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez will reportedly gain a versatile addition to his team following the upcoming season, as Iowa linebacker/fullback John Kenny announced via Twitter his intention to transfer to the University of Arizona.

According to FOX Sports Arizona’s Anthony Gimino, Kenny will have to sit out the 2015 season per NCAA transfer rules. He will have two years of eligibility remaining following the conclusion of the 2015 season.
Originally recruited to play linebacker out of Carmel (Ind.) High School, Kenny transitioned to offense last season, following a redshirt year in 2013. He caught four passes for 27 yards from his fullback position in 2014.
