...

Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin was solid in his first Double-A rehab start Sunday, improving after a shaky season debut with Single-A Visalia.

Corbin lasted 4.2 innings for the Mobile BayBears vs. Jackson, giving up two earned runs on six hits and throwing 76 pitches in an 8-6 loss.

It was Corbin’s second rehab start this season after undergoing Tommy John surgery before the 2014 season.

Corbin lasted just 0.2 innings in his start for Single-A Visalia, giving up four runs on four hits.

Corbin was a National League All-Star for the Diamondbacks in 2013, just his second major-league season. He went 14-8 that season with a 3.41 ERA in 32 starts, striking out 178 batters and walking 54 batters in 208.1 innings.
