PHOENIX — Looking for a new home and have $2.299 million to spare? Then we’ve got the place for you.
MLB Hall of Fame outfielder Rickey Henderson listed his Phoenix-area home for sale, the same home previously owned by former Chicago Cubs second baseman and current Philadelphia Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg.
The Los Angeles Times reported the Mediterranean-style home for sale earlier this week.
The 7,859-square-foot, 5 bedroom, 7 bath home at 11809 S. Montezuma Court is located on one and a half acres in Ahwatukee. The RedFin property listing said the two-story home has marble floors, plush carpet and high ceilings.
Some of the amenities include a game room, workout room, steam room, pool and a sunken basketball half-court.
Henderson purchased the property from Sandberg in 1996 for $1.65 million. Sandberg paid $400,000 for it in 1990.
