The Phoenix Suns signed 2015 first-round pick Devin Booker to his rookie contract, the team announced Monday.
Booker, a Kentucky product, was the No. 13 selection in last month’s NBA Draft.
The projected rookie scale for the No. 13 overall pick is a four-year deal with the final two seasons being team options.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the projected pay scale has Booker earning $1,773,200 for the first season and $1,853,000 in his second season.
The 6-foot-6, 206-pound shooting guard was named the 2015 SEC Sixth Man of the Year after his freshman season with the Wildcats.
The 18-year-old averaged 10.0 points and 21.5 minutes per game for Kentucky last season, shooting 47 percent from the field and 41.1 percent on 3-pointers.
Booker has averaged 8.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game through two games in the NBA Summer League for the Summer Suns.
Booker and the Summer Suns return to the court against Utah Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Arizona time.
