As Kevin Kolb and John Skelton continue to battle it out this preseason for the starting quarterback duties for the Arizona Cardinals, one ESPN football analyst believes Skelton has the edge.
Brock Huard with 710 ESPN in Seattle told Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo Friday the Cardinals pursuit of Peyton Manning’s services proved the team’s willingness to change directions at the quarterback position, no matter how costly.
“Arizona clearly showed they’d be willing to eat a lot of Kevin Kolb money and pay Peyton Manning on top of it,” Huard told Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo Friday.
In Arizona, Kolb was deemed the frontrunner to win the quarterback job. Still, he’s been unable to prove to this point he can stay on the field and be a productive and reliable leader of this Cardinals offense.
