Diamondbacks place Trevor Cahill on DL

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed starting pitcher Trevor Cahill on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip contusion.

Cahill, 25, is sporting a 3-10 record to go along with a 3.66 ERA. He is coming off a miserable month of Jun that saw him post a 0-5 record with a 9.85 ERA in six starts.

In a corresponding move the team called up 26-year-old Chaz Roe from Triple-A Reno. Roe had four saves to go along with a 2.00 ERA in nine games for the Aces.
