Arizona Cardinals trim roster to 75

The Arizona Cardinals announced the release of 12 players Friday to get their roster down to 75 players.

The players released are:

DT Landon Cohen

WR Gino Crump

S Eddie Elder

WR Tre Gray

CB Marshay Green

WR Jaymar Johnson

FB Reagan Maui’a

LB Marcus McGraw

LB Zach Nash

CB James Nixon

K/P Ricky Schmitt

LB Paul Vassallo

Additionally, tackle Levi Brown (triceps) was placed on injured reserve and the team waived-injured running back Thomas Clayton (knee) and fullback Jared Crank (neck).

The Cardinals will wrap up their preseason Thursday night against the Denver Broncos at University of Phoenix Stadium. Following that game, their roster must be reduced to the league-mandated 53 players.
