Coyotes to Canada still possible

Winnipeg now has an NHL team for the first time since the mid-90’s, but one team may not be enough to satisfy the Canadians. They are hungry and still want the Phoenix Coyotes to wind up in Canada.
The Atlanta Thrashers are moving to Winnipeg, but Quebec City wants to acquire a team and southern Ontario does as well.
The Coyotes, who are currently owned by the NHL, will remain in Phoenix for the 2011-12 season, but their future beyond that is full of question marks and uncertainty.
There are also reports that Seattle is looking for a team, which means there will be plenty of options for the Coyotes to relocate as long as the city and the NHL can figure out a deal.
Phoenix is currently losing $25 million per season so a relocation or drastic change to the franchise seems imminent.
Coyotes fans may have thought they dodged a bullet when the team did not relocate to Winnipeg this summer and while Winnipeg may no longer be an option for the struggling organization, Canada still is.
