Kyle Turris ends holdout, re-signs with Coyotes

Nov 22, 2011, 7:31 PM | Updated: 7:39 pm

The holdout is finally over.

Kyle Turris, who was hoping for a trade from the Coyotes,
Tuesday agreed to a two-year contract with the club.

“We are pleased to agree to terms with Kyle on a multi-year
contract,” said Maloney. “Kyle is a top, young player who
will make us a better team. We look forward to having him in
our lineup so he can contribute to our team.”

The 22-year-old Turris appeared in 65 regular season games
for the Coyotes last year, scoring 11 goals and tallying 14
assists.

“I am happy to sign with Phoenix and start playing,” said
Turris. “It’s been a long process, but now I am focused on
playing and helping the team win.”

Turris was the Coyotes’ first pick (3rd overall) in the 2007
NHL Entry Draft.
