The Phoenix Coyotes have signed forward Chris Brown to an
entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.

Brown was the Coyotes’ second round selection (36th overall)
in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The deal, which is for three years, brings the 21-year-old
to Phoenix after playing for Michigan of the Central
Collegiate Hockey Association.

The 6-foot-2, 200 pound Brown tallied 12-17-29 with 66 PIM
in 38 games for Michigan in 2011-12, setting career highs in
assists, points and PIM.

He finished his Michigan career with totals of 34-46-80 in
125 regular season games.

Brown has also played for the United States National Under-
18 Team at USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program,
and won a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2011 IIHF World
Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y.
