The Arizona Cardinals signed cornerback Crezdon Butler to their practice squad Monday.
In a corresponding move, the team released cornerback Greg McCoy from the practice squad.
Butler is rejoining the Cardinals after playing with the team in Week 6 against Buffalo. He spent the preseason with the team before being released in the team’s final roster cut. The Washington Redskins claimed him and he played in two games for the team before being released again on September 25.
Originally claimed off waivers by the Cardinals from the Steelers in September 2011, Butler played in one game for the team last year before landing on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
He was originally a fifth round pick of the Steelers in the 2010 NFL Draft.
