In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love opted to shave his head and his barber was none other than Arizona Cardinals’ wideout Larry Fitzgerald.
Love chose to shave his head to support women who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy for treatment of breast cancer.
For his part, Fitzgerald supports cancer awareness groups. He’s made overtures to breast cancer patients, makes donations to charity for each ball he catches, touchdown he scores or social media follower he obtains.
Fitzgerald created the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund in honor of his mom after she died of breast cancer. He also wore pink cleats on the field in her honor.
Both players vowed to donate 25 cents per every share, like, retweet, or view of the YouTube video up to $250,000.
Fitzgerald’s donation will benefit the American Cancer Society and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Valley.
