The Arizona Cardinals announced Saturday they have released safety Ross Weaver.
The 6-foot-1, 206 pound Weaver signed with the Cardinals on Aug. 11 and recorded one tackle during the Cards 34-19 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Aug. 15.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, the 28-year-old former Michigan State Spartan spent time with the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants.
The Cardinals wrapped up training camp on Friday and will travel to Oakland Sunday for its third preseason game.
