Arizona Cardinals name captains for 2015 season

Tempe, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals named their captains for the 2015 season, head coach Bruce Arians announced Tuesday.
They are quarterback Carson Palmer and left tackle Jared Veldheer for offense, cornerback Patrick Peterson and defensive lineman Calais Campbell for defense, and cornerback Justin Bethel and long-snapper Mike Leach for special teams.
It is the third consecutive nomination for Palmer and the second in a row for Campbell. It is the first time being a captain for Veldheer, Peterson, Leach and Bethel.
“We had over 20 guys get more than three votes,” Arians said, “which I thought was outstanding.”
