Cubs star Kris Bryant goes undercover for Lyft

Sep 18, 2015, 10:31 AM

If you’ve ever taken an Uber or Lyft to get from one place to another, chances are you’ve met some pretty interesting people.

Good people, mind you. But interesting.

However, odds are none of the drivers moonlighted as professional baseball players when not driving.

One Chicago driver, does.

Kris Bryant, the star rookie third baseman for the Chicago Cubs, did a promotional video for Lyft where he picked up customers and drove them around, all while hiding his true identity.

Sooner or later he did inform them all, though, and it made for a pretty funny scene. And while Bryant did safely get everyone to where they needed to be, we don’t think the 23-year-old who his batting .274 with 24 home runs and 93 RBI will be quitting his day job anytime soon.
