Neither Tony Jefferson nor Deone Bucannon has missed a game in their young Arizona Cardinals careers.

Their streaks live on.

Jefferson will play in his 35th straight game, Bucannon his 19th despite being limited in practice late in the week.

The two safeties showed up on the injury report—Jefferson with a hamstring, Bucannon a groin issue—Thursday and Friday and were therefore officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game at the Chicago Bears.

Again, though, they will both suit up.

Not in uniform and inactive here in Week 2 are quarterback Matt Barkley, wide receiver Brittan Golden, running back Andre Ellington, linebacker Shaq Riddick, tackle D.J. Humphries, left guard Mike Iupati and nose tackle Xavier Williams.

Ellington and Iupati had already been ruled out, and in fact, they did not even make the trip.

Ellington is dealing with a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, which he suffered in the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s 31-19 win over New Orleans.

Ellington was given a 2-3 week timetable, but told reporters Friday he’s “getting better each day”.

Iupati, meanwhile, “feels great” and is “anxious” to play.  His hope is to return next week against his former team, San Francisco.

Iupati was limited all week in practice, his first work since undergoing knee surgery back in training camp.

For the Bears, wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey, defensive tackle Ego Ferguson, linebacker Jonathan Bostic, cornerback Tracy Porter, running back Ka’deem Carey, center Hroniss Grasu and tackle Tayo Fabuluje are inactive.

The Jeffrey absence is big.  He caught five passes for a game-high 78 yards against Green Bay, but missed practice on Friday with “hamstring tightness,” according to head coach John Fox.

Jeffrey had been dealing with a left calf injury that forced him to miss the entire preseason.

Linebacker Pernell McPhee is active despite sitting out practice Thursday and Friday because of wrist and knee injuries.
