It was hard to expect David Johnson to top his big play from Week 1, but he did just that right away to start Week 2 against the Chicago Bears.
In the first play of the game, the Arizona Cardinals rookie running back took the kickoff all the way to the end zone for 108 yards, a franchise record.

The third-round pick out of Northern Iowa has created an identity for himself as a big play threat, something every rookie is desperate for.
More importantly, Johnson gave the Cardinals instant momentum and control of the game on the road. That’s something every NFL team wants to do on the road and the rookie made that happen.
As if that wasn’t enough, Johnson added a 13-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
It will be hard for him to keep this pace, but you’d be making a mistake if you think this is the last big play Johnson makes this season.
