ESPN analyst: Cardinals should bring Kolb back, but must find a QB

Dec 6, 2012, 7:52 PM | Updated: 8:05 pm

Kevin Kolb’s career as an Arizona Cardinal has been rather turbulent.

Acquired by the team prior to the 2011 season, he has struggled with consistency and injuries, and even lost the starting job coming into the 2012 season.

However, the 28-year-old played well in relief of an injured John Skelton, leading some to believe he still could be the team’s answer at the quarterback position.

Others feel the team should part ways with the signal caller, as it would not be wise to rely on a player who can’t seem to stay on the field.

“Yeah, sure you bring Kevin back,” ESPN NFL analyst Ron Jaworski told Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo Thursday. “I think he’s a seasoned guy that has value.”

Kolb has played in 15 games for the Cardinals over two seasons — with 14 starts — throwing for 3,124 yards to go along with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
