Paul Goldschmidt is getting all the attention for his homers at Dodger Stadium, but Arizona Diamondbacks prospect Brandon Drury’s coming out party against the boys in blue should not be overlooked.
Drury, who was called up on September 1, went yard Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers for his first career home run. He did it again Thursday afternoon against one of the league’s best, Clayton Kershaw.
The Visalia Rawhide, the minor league team Drury also played 94 games for last season, tweeted their congrats to Drury — though they weren’t surprised. He hit 19 home runs for them in 2014.
Oh, yeah, just a homer off Clayton Kershaw for Rawhide alum Brandon Drury. Typical Thursday. https://t.co/FXNcAjFE25
