Every Wednesday, Doug and Wolf unveil their top five NFL teams on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
It’s no surprise both hosts have the Arizona Cardinals prominently featured on their respective lists. The Cardinals demolished the San Francisco 49ers 47-7 last Sunday, upping their record to 3-0. The Cardinals are the highest-scoring team in the league with 126 points, and their +77 point differential is far and away the best mark in the league.
Here’s how Doug Franz ranked his top five heading into Week 4:

Franz has the Cardinals third on his list and does have the two-time defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks at no. 4 after they got their first win of the season last Sunday — a 26-0 whitewashing of the Chicago Bears. “They’re going to be 6-2 and then what are you going to say? Just because they started 0-2, they’re bad? No, no, no. The Seahawks are still there. They’ll prove it when they beat Cincinnati in a week-and-a-half, ” Franz said. Franz has the Cardinals only one spot higher than the 1-2 Seahawks. “The Arizona Cardinals are the third-best team in the National Football League,” he said. “They’re not higher because you have to look at their opponents. They’ve been able to beat some of the worst teams the NFL has to offer, however they beat them so soundly — they did what they were supposed to do.”

Wolf had the Cardinals a spot higher, at number two on the top five.
“It’s because of that front seven. It’s because of that defense and how well that defense is playing,” Wolfley said. “The front seven is actually better than what I thought they were coming into this season. They’re top-ten in rushing yards per game and attempts, and Carson Palmer — nobody is playing at a higher level.”
Doug and Wolf unveil their NFL top five every Wednesday morning at around 7:30 a.m.
