Oregon gives free football tickets to Umpqua Community students

The Oregon Ducks are handing out free tickets to Umpqua Community College students and staff a week following a shooting at the Roseburg, Ore., school.
By providing their school identity numbers, students and staff can receive tickets for this Saturday’s game against the Washington State Cougars. Due to high demand, Oregon is currently only offering standing room only tickets.
Oregon’s gesture comes after the Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers agreed to show their unity after the shooting that killed nine and wounded nine more. Last week, Oregon wore a UCC ribbon on its helmets against Colorado. The Ducks will do so again against the Cougars, and the Beavers will do the same this week as they visit Arizona coming off a bye.
