Warner says football isn’t everything for Bulger

While he may not be mentioned as often as Kyle Orton or Kevin Kolb, Marc Bulger has been thrown into the pool of potential quarterbacks the Cardinals may be looking to acquire for the 2011 season.
Just when Bulger rumors began to heat up, ESPN’s John Clayton said that Bulger was content to be a backup quarterback.
Understandably, this became a huge red flag for Cardinals fans who questioned why the team would want someone who seemingly lack a desire to be a starting quarterback.
However, former Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner had a different take on the situation and explained why Bulger’s mentality may be misunderstood by Clayton and others.
“The one thing that I always appreciated about Marc was that football wasn’t everything,” Warner said on Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf. “For too many guys it’s all about winning or losing. It’s all about starting. It’s all about how much money you can make, and that was never Marc Bulger. ”
